The Deer Says Moo
A deer-related portrait of my boyfriend c:
The first time he called me "dear" I was going to make the noise a deer makes but...I don't know what sound a deer makes so I just said "Moo" so now every time he calls me "dear" I say "moo".
Well, I thought it was cute anyway.

Hamlet and that dude were bros, Horatio
Sort of an update of an old horrible painting I did in 2009 that I hate now.
I hated the old painting like a lot a lot so I made a new one. I'm not sure I'm happy with the text, but it gives it a little ground it didn't have before I added it. I definitely like it better than the old one but I do have to say my scanner murdered the wood color.
And I have Britney Spears' "Toxic" in my head now for whatever reason

The Sound
"Got nothing left but it ain't bringin' me down
I'm just gonna follow the sound" - The Sound by Human Highway
This song made me think of vagabonds for whatever reason. Three-armed vagabonds...?
So I'm trying a new way of working, I think I dig it, staying away from shading so much and trying things a little flatter to show off my linework. I still havent found a happy medium so I may just have two sections of my portfolio in the end, one for drawings one for paintings.

Afternoon of the Faun
Started this painting in like September of last year, finally finished it. I will say that the scan looks like 500000x better than the actual painting, the actual painting looks pretty shitty really but my scanner somehow made it look good (odd since it usually makes it look awful 6 _9)
Named after the controversial Vaslav Nijinsky ballet, not really the traditional faun/satyr (looks gargoyle-y actually) but I think he's hungry-looking enough to be pretty sexually motivated like fauns. Only thing missing is goat legs, but I liked the regular man-legs.
Even after nearly a year this painting was good enough to finish, that's not a good sign I really need to paint more D:
