I’m getting closer to a way of working I’d be proud/comfortable with reproducing

He’s just talking about icicles, they’re his thing. Wanted to paint a dude for Brovember before Brovember became…Dickcember?

I know I just made a bull painting but I guess I was still on a bull spree!
This one's a gouache resist, I remember it looking cool and I wanted to experiment with it again.

This is Bullshit

"Bullfights and swordfights, rolling in manure;
Blows to the head I can endure!"

Just an illustration of a matador and a bull, nothing too special just playing with technique and composition. I really need to get back into drawing so it's just an exercise for now, hopefully gonna make more stuff soon!

This is the main character to a little tale I'm cooking up about underground dwellers, he doesn't have a name yet or anything, I've got some of the story worked out but I don't know where it's going yet. The character is based on the characters in my Rat Men painting. Not my best drawing, but I like it anyway.

Hopefully will make an eventual comic, no promises though~

A is for Arrowhawk

So I've been playing D&D lately with some friends and my boyfriend left his monster manual over here and I decided it might be fun to try and tackle the ABC's of the D&D monster manual. I want to do a little style playing too so they won't all look the same, this one's pencil and photoshop.

A is for Arrowhawk -

An arrowhawk is a predator and scavenger from the Elemental Plane of Air. By twisting its body and varying the cadence of its wingbeats, an arrowhawk can fly at top speed in any direction.

Arrowhawks are extremely territorial and always hungry. They attack almost any other creature they meet, seeking a meal or trying to drive away a rival. The primary mode of attack is an electricity ray, fired from the tail. The creature also bites, but it prefers to stay out of reach.

Also, no legs.

Just a little portrait of Nosferatu, I feel a little bad because I've never even seen this movie, but I did see the episode of Spongebob where he turned out to be the culprit of some spooky things instead of the fictional Hash-Slinging Slasher.

Anyway, I had fun! Oranje is coming up soon so I had to spew out some paintings. I have 2 others as well but they're far too large to scan, one's just too big to really fit in the car let alone try and photo...

Crow Fight

Well, not my best piece, not sure I'll put it in the old portfolio, but I had fun making it. I think the linework in white was a better idea in my head than on paper, but it still looks ok, the linework was originally done in black.

Just some crows because I never really draw animals

Sexual Predator

Or "How I Dodged Chris Hansen"

Just an illustration about sexual predators. Nothing really more to say other than that, I think I adequately described pedos as gross weirdos.

Acrylic and digital

There's a Squatch in These Woods...

Inspired by a lot of Monster Quest and a round dude on a discovery channel commercial who said "There's a 'squatch in these woods..."

Experimenting with more lines and less colors, I'm digging it

The Deer Says Moo

A deer-related portrait of my boyfriend c:

The first time he called me "dear" I was going to make the noise a deer makes but...I don't know what sound a deer makes so I just said "Moo" so now every time he calls me "dear" I say "moo".

Well, I thought it was cute anyway.

Hamlet and that dude were bros, Horatio

Sort of an update of an old horrible painting I did in 2009 that I hate now.

I hated the old painting like a lot a lot so I made a new one. I'm not sure I'm happy with the text, but it gives it a little ground it didn't have before I added it. I definitely like it better than the old one but I do have to say my scanner murdered the wood color.

And I have Britney Spears' "Toxic" in my head now for whatever reason

The Sound

"Got nothing left but it ain't bringin' me down
I'm just gonna follow the sound" - The Sound by Human Highway

This song made me think of vagabonds for whatever reason. Three-armed vagabonds...?

So I'm trying a new way of working, I think I dig it, staying away from shading so much and trying things a little flatter to show off my linework. I still havent found a happy medium so I may just have two sections of my portfolio in the end, one for drawings one for paintings.

Afternoon of the Faun

Started this painting in like September of last year, finally finished it. I will say that the scan looks like 500000x better than the actual painting, the actual painting looks pretty shitty really but my scanner somehow made it look good (odd since it usually makes it look awful 6 _9)

Named after the controversial Vaslav Nijinsky ballet, not really the traditional faun/satyr (looks gargoyle-y actually) but I think he's hungry-looking enough to be pretty sexually motivated like fauns. Only thing missing is goat legs, but I liked the regular man-legs.

Even after nearly a year this painting was good enough to finish, that's not a good sign I really need to paint more D:

Mule-faced boy.

You thought I died didn't you? DIDN'T YOU?

So I'm back sorta, haven't drawn anything in months and feel way bad about it so here's a doodle I came up with at my boyfriend's house, an as of yet un-named Mule-faced boy:

I gotta draw more 6 _9

The Gardner

A painting I made for my boyfriend based on one of the first songs he linked to me, "The Gardner" by The Tallest Man on Earth

And don't blame me for the misspelling, I believe it was intentionally misspelled on the album.
